When we are pursing a job new opportunity, a new relationship or maybe trying to mend a marriage or a broken friendship, I think it's important to prayerfully ask for God's guidance. Has this opportunity (or situation) come about through your own efforts or mistakes, or does it seems like God has opened (or is trying to close) this door?
By spending time with your Heavenly Father through prayer, scripture and devotions, I know He'll help you discern His will in the situation. The key here is, what if you discover God's will is different than "your" desire? Will you trust Him and accept His answer or will you plow forward on your own? Therein lies how you view your relationship with God. Have you "surrendered" totally to God in ALL things or just when it's convenient for you and fits into your plans? Submit to God's will, even if the answer isn't what you had hoped for. Pray that you can just "let it go" and not worry about it. Remember, God is always working for your own good, so there's a reason for this outcome. You may not understand why right now, but trust it's part of God's LONG TERM plan for you. "Your kingdom come Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10
