WHAT'S SUE ROWLAND BEEN UP TO LATELY?

- During Lent this year, I am again writing a daily e-meditation called 'Lenten Moments,' which has a following of around 250 people, plus whoever those people forward it to. To have your name added to the list, write to me at susan@makeroomforgod.com.
- I am doing a series of Lenten talks at an Episcopal Church in the Phoenix, Arizona, area on Wednesday evenings. This is a really nice program, consisting of meatless potluck supper, Stations of the Cross, and then my talk, which includes some homework! A good way to have some focus and order throughout Lent. - I've just published several articles in various Catholic publications, including:
- 'Seven Things Catholics Should Know About Divorce' in St. Anthony Messenger Magazine (March 2011 issue).
- 'It's About Time ... To Make Time for God,' an article about how to make the most of your life, in both the above magazine (January 2011) and Every Day Catholic (December 2010).
- 'Facing Financial Realities' in National Catholic Reporter (January 21, 2011). This is actually an excerpt from the 'finances' chapter in Healing After Divorce.
- 'Healing for Divorced Catholics' in Our Sunday Visitor Newsweekly (Dec. 12, 2010).
- I just recorded an audiobook version of Healing After Divorce the first week of February. This will be available as a download to your iPod, computer, etc. sometime in April. I'll announce that when it's available on Audible.com. Also just found out that Make Room for God is available to download to your Kindle on Amazon.com.
- I spoke at the 'Journey of Hope' Conference for divorced Catholics in Atlanta the first weekend of March. This is a wonderful event. If you've been divorced for years or are just going through it, 'Journey of Hope' is the support and comfort you need. Lots of good, practical workshops, great food, and all the hugs you need! - I attended the L.A. Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, CA March 18-20. This is my fifth Congress. I went to some great workshops (including one on liturgical dance), heard some speakers I'd never heard before, and hung out with my friends Geri and Char. The 'Cafe Justo' booth, where Char was one of the helpers, became our meeting area, and the three of us shared some nice, relaxing dinners together.
