RADICAL TRUST IN GOD Published by Tau Publishing, Phoenix, Arizona. [www.Tau-Publishing.com]**
I am so excited about Radical Trust in God. This book came to me, almost in its entirety, as I was praying about a Morning of Renewal I was to conduct this summer. I quickly realized this was not just a teaching for one morning, but a whole book. It has come together miraculously: I wrote it in about a month. And my publisher, Jeff Campbell of Tau Publishing, put it together in about a week! As a friend said, "God's hand was all over this."
Of course, the book has been "in progress" for many years, as I have learned how to let myself trust God completely for all my needs: finances, health, career, loved ones, and my own deepest needs, the ones we never discuss with others.
My trust in God was at an all-time low ten years ago. I was going through a painful divorce. All three of my children were off to college and having their own adjustment problems, made so much worse by their parents' imminent divorce. My mother had just been widowed. I was trying to finish college and hold down a job. How would I support myself? Could I actually quit my day job, move across the country to be near Mom, and begin a new career as a writer? Would my health hold up, especially since I could not afford health insurance? Was God really with me in all this .... is God really my True Love? I had lost my earthly love ... could I trust God to replace what I had lost spiritually and also lead me to new friends, a new church, new support systems?
These are the questions we are all facing, regardless of our marital status. The current economy has blasted all of us into a new insecurity. Our society is reeling under so many evils, from New Age paganism to corporate greed and indifference. Even the drivers on the road seem to be getting nastier! And our little planet isn't holding up too well, either. Whole species are dying out, there are floods, earthquakes and tsunamis. Even nature seems to be in chaos. What is going on?
Who do we trust?
Radical Trust in God is a short book (about 60 pages), but packed with power. It deals with the real issues we harbor deep inside that make those leaps of faith so difficult, especially when things in our lives are scary or chaotic. And God has urged me to share my own journey, especially my doubts and fears. Can you imagine saying to God, after 40 years of total commitment, "What if you're not real" ?? I share that story and many others.
Have you ever been disappointed with God's solutions to your problems? Do you carry around a load of guilt, feeling you don't measure up to God's standards? Have you been badly wounded, and wonder if God's justice is enough?
Do you feel the need and the urge to go on to a higher plane in your Christian walk?
Then you'll enjoy Radical Trust in God -- and you'll very likely be able to take those leaps of faith you long to take..... freer and stronger in your trust.
Radical Trust in God is for those willing to go on from the "milk" of spiritual babies, to the real 'solid food' of spiritual adults.
